For a little background, can you describe the general topic of your presentation and tell us what is new in the last few months?
I'm going to talk with Martyn Russell about how to develop with GTK+. GTK+ has become one of the main graphical toolkits for Linux/Unix, but also works in other environments such as Windows and MacOS.
Can you give a summary of what you will present? Why should someone choose to come to your presentation?
Well, if people is interested in developing applications with graphical components, they should definitely come :), we're going to show how to use many of the different widgets and objects in GTK+, and will provide working examples so people can see the possibilities.
How did you get involved in Free Software and in what way is it important to you?
Began getting involved in Free Software when I was studying in the university, I thought it was a really nice way to learn plenty of things, and all that about freedom sounded really great. I obviously got addicted to it, besides these (I've never stopped learning), hacking with people you respect and meeting really nice people has been a great experience all these years.
