Interview

For a little background, can you describe the general topic of your presentation and tell us what is new in the last few months?
The presentation will be about the questions people always ask you when you talk of free software. In my experience, these questions are remarkably alike, regardless of whether you are talking to technical people or management.

Can you give a summary of what you will present?  Why should someone choose to come to your presentation?
A short FAQ on free software will be proposed, as a staring point to prepare you for those questions they will always ask you.

How did you get involved in Free Software and in what way is it
important to you?

Once a Unix system manager, always a free software supporter...
While working with many systems, closed as well as free, I have found that freedom gives a system an advantage. It is not always a decisive advantage, but an advantage none the less.

Is there any other particular presentation you'll be going to? Why
is that topic of interest?

I find it interesting that there will be a mix of technical and political aspects of free software, and plan to explore that mix. Among others, I plan to hear the presentations on virtualisation and on NGO decision making.
